Shan Nihari Masala is a premium spice blend specially crafted to prepare authentic, slow-cooked Nihari with a rich, aromatic, and flavorful gravy. Made from a carefully balanced combination of traditional herbs and spices, it helps create tender, succulent meat with the signature taste of this classic South Asian delicacy. The 60 g pack is suitable for preparing approximately 1 kg of beef, mutton, or lamb.
Ingredients
Salt, Red Chilli, Coriander, Cumin, Turmeric, Fennel, Black Pepper, Cinnamon, Cloves, Green Cardamom, Black Cardamom, Bay Leaves, Ginger, Garlic, Nutmeg, Mace, Star Anise, Dried Papaya Powder, Citric Acid, Maltodextrin, Canola Oil, Silicon Dioxide (Anti-Caking Agent).
How to Use
- Heat oil or ghee and lightly brown 1 kg of beef, mutton, or lamb.
- Add the entire packet of Nihari Masala and mix well.
- Add water and cook on low heat until the meat becomes tender and the gravy thickens.
- For a traditional texture, add a flour slurry (optional) near the end of cooking.
- Simmer for a few more minutes until the gravy is smooth and rich.
- Garnish with fresh ginger, coriander leaves, green chilies, and lemon wedges before serving.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place.
Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Reseal the packet after opening or transfer the contents to an airtight container.
Use before the expiry date printed on the pack.
